RMIT Training students at a BBQ

This is the final week of the First 30 Days program.

Below are some things to remember during your time at RMIT Training:

  1. Teachers and support staff are here to help you. Go to Level 3 for help or ask your teacher if you have questions.
  2. When we take a chance, and do something new, amazing things can happen. Sign up for Student Experience activities to make the most of your time here.
  3. Discover some of the hidden treasures that live down the many laneways in Melbourne. Talk to the Student Experience Team to find out what’s on in this great city.
  4. Your social networks are super important to help you make the most of your time in Melbourne. Be open to making new friends.
  5. Organise your study time and don’t leave things until the last minute. Remember, if you’re having trouble with your studies, speak to the Study Success Team.
  6. It’s important to stay active and healthy. That means eating lots of fresh food and doing 30 minutes of exercise a day.
  7. When you volunteer, you can gain some new skills, meet new people and do something truly meaningful.
  8. If it’s your first time living away from home, managing money can be tricky. The Student Wellbeing Team can give you useful tips for making sure you’re not awake all night worrying about paying the rent.
  9. Settling into a new country can take time. It’s important to stay open minded, to create new experiences and be positive.
  10. If you’re feeling down, you are not alone. You have access to people and services that can help you. Make an appointment to see the Student Wellbeing Team if you are not coping.
